The idea behind NeXYs Fertility was shaped by Shaun’s own personal experience. “When I went through fertility struggles myself, I realised there was no real support for men. I wanted to change that, to build a space where men could feel seen, understood and supported,” he explains.

Male fertility challenges often get overlooked in mainstream conversation. NeXYs is tackling this hidden issue by offering digital resources, expert insights, and community connection. Men can share their experiences and access guidance during one of life’s most emotional journeys.

This was made possible by a five-figure Start Up Loan delivered via Business Enterprise Fund (BEF). This finance let Shaun invest in the programme’s foundations; NeXYs’ online platform, digital resources, and targeted campaigns.

“The loan gave me the chance to move from concept to reality,” says Shaun. “It covered the crucial early-stage costs and gave me the confidence to launch. Beyond the funding, the mentoring from BEF has been invaluable. It’s helped me sharpen my focus and plan long-term growth.”

Today, NeXYs Fertility is connecting with a growing audience of men and couples. It’s providing reassurance and resources at a time when they’re needed most.

“Shaun’s empathy and determination stood out from day one,” said Jane Cusse, Investment Manager at BEF. “He’s tackling an important issue with compassion and professionalism. The Start Up Loan gave him the platform to turn that passion into an impactful business, and it’s rewarding to see NeXYs taking shape.”

NeXYs platform has received positive feedback from users, as well as growing interest from wellbeing professionals and fertility clinics. It’s quickly becoming recognised as a trusted voice for men’s health and fertility awareness.

Looking ahead, Shaun is focused on expanding NeXYs’ partnerships with fertility clinics, corporate wellbeing programmes, and online networks. His goal is to reach more men, strengthen community engagement, and bring male fertility into mainstream discourse.

Through targeted funding and mentorship, the Start Up Loan has helped Shaun build more than just a business. It’s helped him create a movement. NeXYs Fertility is not only supporting men but also reshaping how fertility and mental health are discussed across the UK.
