Business finance for where you are now
Every business needs finance for different reasons.
You might need funding to:
- manage working capital or cash flow
- invest in equipment or machinery
- take on new staff
- increase stock
- open new premises
- expand into new markets
- take on a new contract
- invest in growth
- refinance expensive short-term borrowing
Whatever you need the money for, the first step is understanding which type of finance is right for your business.
Our business loan options
If you're starting a business or have been trading for less than five years, you could be eligible for a government-backed Start Up Loan. You could borrow between £500 and £25,000 per founder, with a fixed interest rate of 7.5% per year and repayment terms of one to five years. Successful applicants also receive 12 months of free mentoring.
For established small businesses looking for larger amounts of flexible finance, a Momentum Loan could provide up to £250,000. It can be used for a range of business purposes, including growth, working capital, investment and refinancing existing borrowing.
Businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber may also be eligible for NPIF II Smaller Loans, providing finance from £25,000 to £100,000. It can be used for a range of business purposes, including growth, working capital, investment and refinancing existing borrowing.
A different approach to business finance
Getting the right finance isn't always straightforward. We take the time to understand your business, your plans and what you need the funding to achieve, so you can explore finance based on the bigger picture, not just a single number.
