BEF achieves Cyber Essentials certification

Global standard affirms BEF’s commitment to cyber security

BEF are pleased to announce that it has achieved Cyber Essentials certification. Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats and demonstrate their commitment to cyber security.

Research from insurance company, Hiscox, found 55% of UK businesses had faced a cyber-attack in 2019. It suggested the number of attacks had risen because attackers are able to find easier ways to attack.[1]

Cyber Essentials recognises that BEF has implemented the required systems and controls to protect personal client information from the most common internet-based threats.

“Data security is an integral part of the services and support we offer to our current and prospective clients and partners,” said Steve Waud, Chief Executive at BEF. “Our Cyber Essential certification is one element of our ongoing strategy to protect personal client information against loss, damage or theft. We will continue to adapt and refine our systems and processes to ensure we have the right cyber security measures in place.”
