The Start Up Loans programme introduces 12 new ambassadors

The new ambassadors include Verity Clarke, co-founder of Leeds-based Amity Brew.

The British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans programme have unveiled 12 new Ambassadors for 2023/24.

The annual Start Up Loans Ambassadors programme, now in its eighth year, celebrates exceptional business owners who have followed their ambition of becoming their own boss after receiving support from Start Up Loans.

Start Up Loans has delivered £1bn of lending to start-up businesses from across the UK. The Ambassadors reflect the diversity of the businesses Start Up Loans finances and supports through mentoring and post loan support. The Ambassadors come from every nation and region of the UK reflecting that Start Up Loans support is available across the whole country. When Start Up Loans hit their £1bn of lending milestone, 70% of it was outside London and the South East.

We are delighted that our client, Verity Clarke, co-founder of Leeds-based Amity Brew Co is the new Ambassador for Yorkshire & The Humber.

Amity Brew Co is a local craft brewery, offering a range of draught and canned beers. They provide tours of the brewery, an outside terrace, inside bar and weekly events for the community. They also have their own merch for sale. They took out their loan in April 2020.
